CASE Ukraine`s CEO said in a comment to the ‘Ekonomichna Pravda’ (‘Economic Truth’) media outlet that lifting the moratorium on the sale of agricultural land will stimulate the establishment of processing of agricultural products within the country, which in turn will ensure the stability of macroeconomic indicators, including the national currency rate.
Land reform is one of the highest priorities; the government has committed itself to IMF regarding the launch of the land market from January 1, 2018.
The emergence of the land market and the ability to freely dispose of their stake, Dmytro Boyarchuk believes, will give landowners strong arguments for the formation of more favorable conditions by tenants. This also will add dynamics of development of agro industrial complex. ‘At the same time, another delay in land reform will mean that Ukraine will remain ‘a country of a great potential’ for many years, but it does not realize it’, he stressed.
