In 2010-2011 CASE Ukraine participates in a project financed by the Open Society Foundation that aims at estimating immediate impact the global financial crisis had on public service delivery in economies of the former Soviet Union. The study covers 6 countries: Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine. The analysis will lead to formulation of policy conclusions and recommendations – which is intended to improve the targeting of limited public resources both between and within individual sectors.
The output of the project will include the publication of six country studies and one regional review. CASE Ukraine will make the Ukrainian case study available on its website. Shortly, a final workshop will be organized with participation of policymakers, civil servants, local media and experts from countries covered by the project analysis.
