‘It is impossible to abolish it, because it provides the half of budget revenues. Only USA lives without VAT, but it is possible only due to the fact that there is a lot of people there paying their personal income taxes. In Ukraine, it is unlikely to raise these income taxes’, Volodymyr Dubrovskyy said.
‘VAT is a way of collecting money from consumers so that they do not really notice that. And this method is used in most of the world, in more than 160 countries. VAT causes some problems, but such problems we have had were created artificially: Mykola Azarov frankly thought, VAT return is a privilege. If someone wants the privilege, according to the ‘concepts’, he should give ‘kickback’, the expert stated.Volodymyr Dubrovsky stressed that the VAT administration and its refunds will be performed automatically.
