Shortly before the Maidan I have already mentioned about the analysis foretaken by Francis Fukuyama and Brian Levy, who named Ukraine an example of the country, where the primary impulse for development will come from the civil society (in difference from Singapore, where it came from the state). This scientific work was written in 2010, and last autumn this thesis caused huge skepticism from the professionals. Now, after the Maidan it it obvious that US professors were right. After all, Putin has left Ukraine no choice. Civil society, self-organization should substantially replace the state and by even more considerable degree to learn how to control it. It is incredibly hard, but possible. Moreover, it lays in our historical traditions of cossacks, otamans and two (even three – counting the Tax) Maidans”.
