CASE Ukraine Senior Economist Volodymyr Dubrovsky shared his opinion to the “Holos Stolysty” radio that it is necessary to get rid of the pay-as-you-go pension system as it exhausted itself for demographic reasons.
According to the economist, the pension fund should simply be part of the state budget. Thus, it should be financed by other taxes, rather than at the expense of a single social tax. In this case, state pensions should be paid only for a living wage.
