CASE – Center for Social and Economic Research has appointed three new members to the organization’s Supervisory Board. They are Kateryna Bornukova, Economic Analyst at the Joint Research Center of the European Commission, Natalia Melnyk, Director of the Bendukidze Free Market Center, and Pavlo Shatokhin, Business Analyst and Engineer.
Kateryna Bornukova is an economic analyst at the Joint Research Center of the European Commission (Seville, Spain). She is also a visiting professor at the Carlos III University of Madrid. She has consulted international organizations (UNICEF, World Bank, UN/UNDP). She specializes in labor economics, transition economics, economic policy and social protection.
Natalia Melnyk is the director of the Bendukidze Free Market Center. She founded the initiative to popularize formal and non-formal economic education in Ukraine. She compiled several Ukrainian editions of the Fraser Institute’s report “Economic Freedom in the World.” She is a consultant on organizational development and investment attraction.
Pavlo Shatokhin was a product manager in IT companies (Depositphotos; Prom.ua, Naspers, etc.). He is a researcher and urban planner from the public sector: as part of the Agents of Change and Urbanina teams, he developed concepts for renovated squares in Kyiv. Kyiv (Vokzalna, Bessarabska, Kozhumyatska, Podilski Valy, Sportyvna, etc.) and localities (Lypky, Olimpiyska, Nova Zastroika, etc.).
Among the old board members are Oleh Rybachuk, Head and Cofounder of the NGO “The Centre of United Actions”, and Christopher Hartwell, Professor of International Business Policy and Head of the International Management Institute, Zurich University of Applies Sciences (ZHAW). The Chairman of the Board is Oleg Rybachuk.
The Supervisory Board is the organization’s governing body, which is responsible for convening general meetings, organizing the implementation of general meeting resolutions, approving financial statements and current business plans, etc.
